Welcome to Major Opticians


Clyde House Major Opticians are one of the longest practising opticians in the south east of Ireland, in business since 1975.

We offer a service of the highest quality with a huge range of frames from the best fashion houses, including Bulgari, Ray Ban, Valentino, Dolce & Gabanna, Moschino, Elle, Esprit, Bolle, Tiffany, Gant, Guess and many many more. We also have a large range of frames for the cost-conscious as well. Everyone is catered for.

What we offer:

  • Registered with the Department of Social Welfare and the HSE for testing under PRSI and Medical Cards

We offer free trials on contact lenses. All we need is an up-to-date prescription and we take care of the rest. This includes teaching how to put lenses in and out with an optician (not an unqualified assistant), aftercare and an end of trial assessment.

We use lenses from Johnson and Johnson, Coopervision, CibaVision, Bausch and Lomb and others.
